Fine recording, lacked translation

"While the recording on this disc is quite good, the album notes lack both the text of the chants and a translation. I found nothing wrong at all with the singing, and thoought the recording was very high quality, but I have to give the disc three stars because a recording like this really requires both the text and translation for the chants. If you're just looking for a disc of chants and don't need the notes, I'd recommend this disc."

"I purchased the new release of the album above. If you like chant this is as good as it gets. The only thing I might have liked was the lyrics in print in the front book of the CD. Other Naxos CDs have the latin for the listener to read along with the chanting if they would like. Perhaps the Adorate Deum 8.550711 has this.
But for the price it is hard to find decent chant and this is unadulturated with modern age back ground instrumentation that doesn't fit with it. Human voice at its best.

"
Du très beau chant grégorien pour qui veut s'initier.
La très belle prise de son n'a rien à envier à d'autres
disques plus dispendieux.
Ce disque abordable mérite ses cinq étoiles. N'hésitez pas."
