Oh hell, I'll answer! Il Trovatore, hands down. I love the far-fetched plot and it's got my favorite baritone role with beautiful music. My favorite recording of it is probably the acoustic one with Aureliano Pertile (Manrico), Irene Minghini-Cattaneo (Azucena) & Apollo Granforte. (Conte di Luna). |

Have you ever seen the version of La Traviata that was filmed in Paris? PBS broadcast it some years back, but I don't think they released the DVD version of it in this country. |
