I have a lot of favorites in the metal world:

Judas Priest, Danzig, Exodus, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Angel Witch, Celtic Frost, Megadeth and on and on.

Fear Factory do it for me...I especially liked the direction they took on the latest album, Transgression, very liberated.

Metallica & Black Sabbath are royalty of course. Iron Maiden are great but I can't say I listen to them a lot.

I would say for metal my favorites would be Children of Bodom, Cradle of Filth, Dimmu borgir and Darkthrone. but they are a little harder than Black Sabbath and Iron maiden......

I would hardly characterize Kiss as metal. They're hardly even hard rock.

Its Helloween for me also. As for Kiss most definetly Hard Rock. They are considered Hair Metal/Glam Metal. Althought Not 100 percent metal they do have some metal in them
