"This is the first and only solo album by Zal Yanousky. I had a copy of the original on LP, and have been looking for a CD copy for over 10 years. Today, 8/17/09, I went to Amazon and found one!
I rate this album with "Hums of the Lovin' Spoonful." "Hums" is the best record by one of America's most underrated bands, the Lovin' Spoonful. Zal was the lead guitarist for the Lovin' Spoonful.
The folk, blues, and country roots he developed with the Spoonful are all present on "Alive and Well in Argentina." My favorite songs are "Raven in a Cage" and "Priscilla Millionaira." After all is said, this is a Rock `N Roll record! Zally plays more melodically and with more soul than most of his contemporaries. No record collection is complete without a copy of "Alive and Well in Argentina."

"If you love Zalman Yanovsky you will love this album. He was talented, funny, original, one of a kind. He would have had a long and successful career if it hadn't been for the "possession" charge. His fans were saddened by the events that took place and the way everything was handled. I will always miss him and his music."
