"The title of this CD is blatant false advertising.
These recordings were made for the Malaco label in the 80s, and sound generic, synthesized, dull and have nothing to do with ZZ's greatest achievements, mainly his 60's and early 70's output.
Although the singing is great at times, you just can't get that great southern soul feeling when the backup tracks sound like they were played on a 40$ Casio synth.
Try and get some of his older stuff instead."
This is a must have for any zz hill lovers

"this is the album to have added to your zz hill collection. are even your blues collection. even if it aint his true best, i still like it just fine and it sounds great to me like blues should sound. i first heard zz hill back in the early 90,s late 80,s and have loved his stuff ever since then. its a shame he isnt around anymore. to make great music for us all to enjoy. thanks to my uncle who got me a blues masters cd for chrstmas one year i have been hookd ever since to zz hill. bottom line a must have. kellyd."

"This is by far the best representation of ZZ Hill at his peak. He is in full stride throughout this record.I have purchased this for friends, family and several times for myself in various formats through out the years.If you want to start a party, this is the kicker."
