CD Reviews
More heat from Ro and Mike Dean

"This new LP from Z-Ro is heat. If you like "Life of Joseph P. .." you will be impressed. The production value sounds better and the vibe is more upbeat than the last one which was real heavy and emotional. Some songs, like the song with Ashanti, are not good, but when Z-Ro works with Mike Dean the result is always dope. These two have a good chemsitry because Mike Deans sound is real melodic and Z-Ro has a good singing voice for the hooks. He sings a bit like Isaac Hayes. Overall I don't think the material is as solid end to end musically as the last album, but it has a better sounding lower end; I think they paid more attention to the mastering this time. He has a rap style similar to a mix of Bun B and Tupac, he can spit. Z-Ro went to jail shortly after the last album came out and he didn't get a chance to promote it right. This album has songs that will probably appeal to a wider audience and it will be good to see Z-Ro get the respect he deserves"
Z-ro is a hot Houston Cat so get the album if you recognize

"Look this cd is tight. This cat isn't like Paul Wall, who raps about having diamonds in his bookers or chain so long kids can jump rope with it. Yall stop buying rap that is garbage and pick up a real cd and support real rappers. Yall listen to too much commerical stuff and think most of it is hip hop. It is hip not so if you are real then you recognize real. If you are not then keep buying the Dike Jones, Paul Wall, and Cowboy Troy or whatever that cat name is. If a rapper has to be wack to have people support his album then I might come out with as a rapper knowing that people like yall who don't know hip hop would make me rich. I would be rapping about having gold toliet seats and carrots like Bugs Bunny. Well, anyways yall get the picture this cat is real so listen to the cd it is tight."

"Ro is a well known certified microphone assasin. It was only right for this album to follow the national Z-Ro tradition of wreckage! This album isn't as deep and heart wrenching as Life of Joseph McVeigh, but it has what it needs because it adds the more commercial, easy to shop Z-ro to the menu. Now nigg@s can stop hatin and give the man his well deserved respect."

I LOVE Z-RO TO DEATH AND WOULD BUY ANYTHING HE APPEARS ON!!! he dont rap about how much bling he got like some artists brag about constantly... he speaks about life and the things you go through with family and friends. my opinion is that he is the best rapper alive and thats what i mean and what i say and how i feel.. this cd goes hard just like the rest of the cds he got out!!! i promise you , you will not regret buying this or any other cds cause he spits out nothing but real talk!!!"

"Zro is the new gem of TEXAS & RAP-A-LOT. The lyrics coming from zro are just crazy! he is really one gifted MC. The way he is so gutter with his rhymes but makes them really lyrical packed with his powerful voice is just incredible. He kick's the album off with "mo city don" & boy did he ever pick the right song to start it off with, right away the song shows you why he is a lyrical beast. not only does he spit Hard but he sings & does a good job of it. Ive always thought it was better to hear a rapper sing his on his own stuff. Even if he isnt a great singer for some reason them singing their own stuff just makes the song more creative. His production that he had on this album was great & All in all this is a great album & is packed with alot of great songs. I cant think of a song on this album that is just plain old wack none of them are album fillers, all of them got a gangsta vibe to them, plus this is another
RAP-A-LOT hood classic!. you wont be disapointed pick this up."
