2-1/2 stars -- I'm sicc of this

"I have no idea how I came across Mexican rapper Young Sicc; I probably saw his name listed on HipHopSite or something. But I'm starting to wish I'd never heard of him after listening to his album Spread the Word.
Sicc really isn't that bad of a rapper, but he is TERRIBLE at choruses. Want proof? Take your pick from "Hittem Wit Some Gangsta", "You Know da Name" or "We Came to Party"; and whenever he says "What" or "What what" (hard to believe people are still saying that in 2007), he does it very unenthusiastically. And when Sicc tackles sex, he does it in such a revolting way. "What We Like" is bad enough, but "The P Power" and "Nickelbag" made me want to vomit.
Another weird thing is that the album ends with about 11 minutes of samples of songs from other albums from Sicc and his friends, which is pointless; I mean, isn't that what sites like THIS are for? And the samples definitely won't have you looking forward to hearing the full-length songs, especially with bad uses of music like Zapp's "More Bounce to the Ounce" and Eurythmics' "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)".
This album came out almost exactly seven months ago and this is just now the first review for it, so it's pretty obvious that nobody's spreading the word after all. But there's a reason for that: it just ain't worth picking up.
