"This CD is produced under the new Japanese label Kioon, instead of the German label Bungalow (like his previous CDs). This album veers off track in terms of his usual techno-pop style to deliver dubbed electronic and heavy beats. The arrangement is simple yet elegant, and a few tracks such as "Bright Beat", and "Spiral Never Before" will send the listener into cosmic bliss. If you enjoyed the dance pop of his 'Crossover' album, be wary that this CD is more downplayed and chilled. If you enjoyed 'Take off and Landing' you will definitely enjoy this ambient pop CD.

"This album is the quintessential illustration of Sunahara's unique place on the pop continuum. He's the spiritual successor to Martin Denny, Esquivel and other seminal lounge artists. That's not to say that his music sounds like retro-lounge. Rather, it seems to be inspired by the same values: a love of soothing music and gracious living. On his other albums, Sunahara has dabbled in funky jazz. On _Love Beat_, the funk has been drained out and we're left with pure and seamless background music."
