"On this cd Yair Dalal collaborates with both arab and jewish artists to create very moving and powerful music.
The music is a wonderful blend of arab and jewish instruments (acoustic/traditional) combining perfectly to create a unique and spellbinding experience.
The singing is performed by both muslim and jewish artists.
At times the music is sad or tragic, reflecting the sufferings of the past and death of the innocent caught between political and religious conflict (my interpretation).Other times the music reflects the atmosphere of the desert with sublime poetical lyrics, intoxicating flute and violin play, and the spacious sound of the oud.
At times the music is festive and rhythmic, celebrating union.
This cd takes you through different emotional and visionary reactions, but always keeps you alert and interested."
