"I first heard of Wretched when I heard their song VI The Exodus of Autonomy and at that point I knew I became a fan. Their musicianship is ridiculous. I'll be honest, I don't listen to death metal that often but the way the band uses their instruments to produce such technical but yet vibrant music is amazing.
As for Beyond the Gate, I felt that the band stepped up their game and produced something that is better than their previous album, which was also amazing. Their new sound is a lot more mature and they were not afraid to try new things. My favorite song so far would be Part I: Aberration. The middle eastern chants is quite unique.
Overall the album is solid and Wretched did not disappoint one bit."
