"As of this writing, "All Wound Up" has just been nominated for a Grammy as Best Children's Album (musical). Don't be surprised if it wins, as this album is a delight from start to finish! Too many albums for kids are scaled-down musically, or drenched in synth. This is real music, by real musicians - and there's a real sense of fun whether you're a child, parent, or oh-so-cool babysitter."
Terrific Music!

"I heard a snippet of this CD on NPR when they reviewed it as a Grammy candidate. I was intrigued, so ordered it for my grandchildren. The music is upbeat, the instrumentation is full and wonderful, the words fun, uplifting and easily understood. I especially like the use of so many different instruments, not just bass, guitar and drums. It is an overall great introduction to good music for children. Let me correct that, not just for children. I like it so much I'm keeping the first CD I ordered, and I'm ordering another one for my grandchildren!"

"I heard the artists being interviewed on NPR. That was enough for me. I ordered the CD, planning to use it for some classes I teach. I will as soon as I take it out of my personal player.
The mix on this album is superb. It is a cross section of many types of dance, all of them make you start moving, singing and then dancing. The only negative to this album; it didn't win the Grammy it so richly deserved."
The favourite for the kids

"kids are 3 and 6 - they love this album. finally we have left kiddie music - such as the disney [stuff] - and have moved on to something that gives them stylistic ranges of music - with jazz, soul, caribbean, pop and polka styles, my kids get much greater variety. even i love spaghetti - finally a CD i don't get tired of,"
Not just for kids

"This is a delightful disk for people of any age. We bought this for our daughter, an elementary school music teacher, for use in her classroom. My wife and I listened to it an entire weekend before we reluctantly gave it to her. The technical quality is supurb, the origins of the selections are diverse, and it does not "talk down" to kids. If you have children (or grand children), buy this disk and be prepared to hear them singing"I will never clean up my room" and "Spaghetti (Twist and Twirl)" until you think you will go nuts."
