Among my favorites from the 20s

"No compilation from this era could hit a grand slam home run. There was just too much **** and **** and ***** produced then, as there has been in every decade since. But this is as close to a five star collection of 20s music as I have heard. Compare this to other novelty compilations and it shines even more. Genuine wit and clever performances abound, and on this, unlike other such collections, you will hear some of the era's favorite singers as well. These are not minor leaguers. You will enjoy Billy Murray, Vaughan DeLeath, Billy Jones, Ernest Hare, Fred Waring and other stars, as well as, in my favorite performance on this package, the Mona Motor Oil Twins, who apparently left no other recordings behind.
I could write about many pleasures, but since this is unlikely to be a hot seller, it's probably not worth my time. However, one thing. I do wish I had known of this while my father-in-law was still alive. For anyone who endured "Are you a boy or a girl with that hair?" in the 60s, give "Masculine Women, Feminine Men" a listen. He was a young man when this song was recorded. The more things change....
And shop around; this is available on other retailers for a far more reasonable price."
