"When I was 6 years old my Mum bought me the Wombles album on vinyl when it first was released, then my Grandad bought me the single Super Womble (also on vinyl) which I played to my heart's content and drove my parents up the wall. When I got hold of the Wombles collection on CD, I decided that my 6 years old daughter will share the joys of listening to the Wombles and if she doesn't like them, well, that's tough, because that's what she is going to hear all over Christmas. There are also two music videos which I immensely enjoyed. The Wombling song you hear today on the TV now, is nothing compared to the original. All the songs have been sung by Mike Batt, who couldn't have done a better job - he almost sounds like a womble himself. If you are reading this, go get the album, you won't regret it - you'll hear songs you have heard before and hear songs you haven't."
Everyone needs a Wombles CD, and this one's it!

"This double CD picks up all the 'womble hits', and is really the only one you need unless you're a hard core wombles fan. The lyrics are clever, and the way they borrow(?)/satirize(?) such a wide variety of musical styles is wonderful. This stuff is up there with Animaniacs, but more musically oriented and less commercial. A nice present for either kids or adults."
The womble twist :-)))))

"These fellas remind me of my scruffy little dog Penny...two eyes and a nose, cute as hell, lots of personality, and always ready for a song. Recorded in the early 70s, their environmental message was ahead of its time. Hard to argue with their recycle/reuse message, especially when you're can't help but sing along to the catchy tunes!"
