Great music but was this collection neccessary?

"As much as I love Wilson Phillips and I love this CD and I had to have it, it is pointless. I'll give a list of reasons of it's faults and reasons why it shouldn't really exist, here goes. One, in a series called 10 BEST are you not supposed to have 10 songs that truly are your best and most popular songs that everyone has heard? They didn't, I'll give them 5 maybe 6, but not 10, they only had 8 singles not all of them charted, 7 of them to be exact. Two, 2 albums is all they have released, now maybe I could give it more grace if they had a longer history of solid albums and still only had 5 or 6 songs extremely well known it would be a little more forgivable. Three, Packaging, pretty bare bones, I mean what about liner notes! OK, it's not all negative. I will admit every track on here is solid and good, very enjoyable, but it still doesn't make you forget how undeserving it was. So basically you should get this only if you are a casual fan not wanting to buy the whole CD's or a hardcore collector of them. If you are completely satisfied with their two CD's and not a collector, this is un-needed to you."
An excellent collection

"I'm not certain what inspired me to look up Wilson Phillips on Amazon. I suppose I wondered what happened to that early 90s trio. In any case I was pleasantly surprised to find The Best of Wilson Phillips. This CD really contains WP's best songs. If you're in the mood for some early 90s hits, The Best of Wilson Phillips is a nice choice."
Smart idea for EMI to do this.

"While some fans might irk at this idea, I like this album. Their best songs are well displayed here. This album shows more of Wilson Phillips' harmonies and their midtempo songs. They placed half from the 1990 album and half from the 1992 album on here. I thought that they would continue right after the second one--they'd be ten albums and many more platinum albums and hits later if they continued to stay together. But their new album "California" more than makes up for that long 12-year hiatus--I plan to get it soon. This album sounds good all the way through. They sell it for a low price in some stores, but the music is well worth it for that price. Very nice and gorgeous pop from these girls!"
