Amazon.comOn this reissue of a modest, self-produced 1985 album, Willie Nelson and his usual companions are up to their usual high standards. Seven of the dozen tunes are tasteful, touching remakes of lesser-known Nelson gems from the 1960s and early 1970s, all of them pertaining to fading and faded love. The one new (at the time) Nelson original, the poignant "Forgiving You Was Easy," not only fits the mood perfectly, but also landed him a No. 1 country hit. Filling out the program is an update of the beloved title track, as well as a trio of Billy Joe Shaver's finest compositions, done at a time when Shaver's name was far from the tip of country's tongue. All in all, this may not be an essential Nelson title, but it's certainly a charming listen and a worthy addition to your collection. --Marc Greilsamer
