CD Reviews

Undiscovered GEM
Philly Kristin | Philadelphia, PA United States | 06/25/2006
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This guy is such a keeper! I found Feasting With Panthers in a giveaway box of CD's for volunteers at Philadelphia's WXPN radio station. Lucky Strike!!! Then I started buying all his works. The first big surprise listening to him is that he's British. How can a Limey out blues us? Topley sings like he grew up in the Mississippi Delta. He should be singing at New Orleans' JazzFest, he should be on tour. I know I'd go see him!

Sea Fever is more wonderful, rolling, slightly sad, but irrisistably beautiful music. Topley has a voice you'd recognize anywhere...it's rich, it howls, it growls. He's just plain good."
A Great Singer

"I heard William Topley sing on an internet radio site and was immediately attracted to his voice. I have been very pleased to find that this album did not disappoint me. He has one of those beautiful, rich and soulful voices that you seldom hear. The songs on the album are very good too. With so many uninspiting male pop singers out there, he is a revelation. You know when you hear him sing that this is a guy that really knows how to sing. Most male singers only wish they could sound like him."
