"The entire CD is full of LIFE.The Weber concertos are perhaps the best recorded. Each is expressive and envokes the mood of the peice. The Intro Theme and Variations by Rossini is phenomenal. Not to mention his wonderful technique.A must for any aspiring clarinetist!!!"
Amazing Technician...Wonderful Performance

"Neidich's performance is purely amazing. Having listened to numerous other performances of Weber's 2 Clarinet Concertos, Neidich plays these 2 pieces in a lighter style. With the possible exception of the first movement of the first concerto (which I prefer to be dark and moody), the rest of the CD is wonderfully played. The Concertino, for example, is perhaps the best version I've heard. Overall, this CD is just fun to listen to. Even though Neidich does not have the best tone out there, his techniques are outstanding!"
Fabulous; incredible; inspiring!

"What an amazing collection of recordings! I was floored when I first listened to them; the performances are truly inspiring! Each work is a masterful blend of solo and ensemble virtuosity. The orchestra plays with incredible finesse and clarity, and they never overbalance the soloist. Mr. Neidich performs with a clarity and crispness I rarely ever hear in clarinet recordings. Not to mention the fantastic tempi displayed for each work, especially the "noodling" in the Rossini. A must-have for every clarinetist!"
I agree with the last review...

"Mr. Neidich has amazing technique. However, technique does not equal music. This can be a fun CD to listen to, but if you are seriously studying clarinet or are a real classical music lover you'll probably want to skip this disc. The allegro movements of all the works are taken much too fast. There's a line between playing music and performing tricks for an audience, and Mr. Neidich crosses it on this disc. There is no room left for interpretation or expression when all the notes are passing by in a blur. Contrary to what the program notes indicate, this is NOT within the spirit of what Weber intended when he wrote the concertos for Baermann. Read the last review for a better recording choice."
Spectacular!

"Some musicians are obviously more talented than others, Charles Neidrich is one of these. His interpretations of all of the pieces in this CD is spectacular. His abilities as a clarinetest is almost godlike. He truely brings alive the passion and operatic talents of Von Weber and Rossini. This is truely a one of a kind CD to own. Whether you are a lover of the clarinet or simply a lover of good muic, this CD is very very highly recommended."
