Synopsis
Product Description Reiki is the guided movement of Qi, or life energy. Each of us has currents flowing through our bodies. Reiki assists us in maintaining a healthy flow of energy. Energy currents in motion create vibrations. The art of combining vibrations harmoniously is called Music. Reiki and Music share a common principle of healing: Attunement. Reiki has several symbols the healer uses to focus energy. The Dai Ko Myo is the Master symbol used in healing work and for Reiki Attunements. The symbol roughly translates to " Great Bright Light" and offers healing to the spiritual body. With this symbol, miracles are possible. Using sacred geometry this recording translates the Dai Ko Myo into music with Overtone Chant, Chakra Intervals, Theta Brainwave Synchronization, Phi-based composition techniques and an ancient tuning scale based on the Spiral of Fifths. Dai Ko Myo is shared with love and respect to all beings on a path of healing. Akshara Weave is a certified Reiki III in the Unlimited Reiki System. |
CD ReviewsAbove and beyond... Satya | Colorado | 12/05/2006 (5 out of 5 stars) "Akshara Weave's musical genius shines brightly on this extra-ordinary album. He has taken healing music to the next level...and beyond. I HIGHLY recommend this cd. It touches the heart and soul unlike anything I have heard before. Although it is a reiki album, this music is undefinable. It will take you to places yet unexplored...into the depths of your infinite heart." Reiki Healing Music/Vibrational Tones Kathy W | Baltimore | 01/04/2008 (5 out of 5 stars) "Yep--5 stars! (maybe a lot more). This is very different than what most people call "music".
Although this is "Reiki music," it is great for any type of alternative healing therapy (massage, yoga, acupuncture, qigong, relaxation, meditation). You could even use this CD just to go to sleep. It is vibrational tones with some chimes here and there, very ethereal sounding. As a Reiki Master, I am into this vibrational stuff. The first note did it for me. No kidding. I felt the vibration immediately. Let me start by explaining, for those who don't already know, that Reiki is an Eastern alternate healing modality. Some people refer to it as "hands-on healing," where a practitioner places his/her hands on someone, in a sequence of places, to move energy through their body. The principle is that energy blockages cause disease, so the object is to keep energy flowing freely through your body. Think of it like pouring one of those liquids in your plumbing pipes and cleaning the gunk out, so the water can run through freely. If you have a hair-ball in your personal pipes, you need to clean it out so the energy can run through freely. By the way, let me take a moment to mention that Reiki is so much more than hands-on-healing. Although it may sound squirrelly, it is said that energy can be moved with the eyes, the mind, and projected great distances, into the now, the past, or the future. Reiki is a discipline and a never-ending path to self enlightenment. The title of this CD is "Dai Ko Myo," pronounced "D'eye Koh Mee-oh". This is considered the master symbol in Reiki. Reiki Masters use this symbol when they mentally and physically direct energy through the bodies of themselves and others. So, what does Reiki have to do with music? Well, everything is energy and vibration. There is a little booklet with the CD that explains this a lot better than I could. To sum it up, it explains that this CD uses a tuning method that aligns with the proportions of sound intervals found in nature, which is different that the 12-part octave intervals we normally find in music. This sacred tuning method is from ancient China and is called the "Spiral of Fifths" and it is based on the first divine proportion of 3:2, or the Perfect Fifth. As the booklet states, "From successively multiplying a fundamental tone by this proportion, a tuning system arises generating all of the notes of the octave and progressing as a spiral towards infinity. This harmonic relationship can also be found in the Chakra system.. . ." (Again, for those who don't already know, the Chakras are the little wheels/energy points that run more or less up your spine, starting at the very base of your torso and running to the top of your head. Keeping the Chakras in alignment and keeping the little wheels spinning keep the energy flowing through the body.) The booklet continues by stating, "There are many systems that translate the Chakras into musical pitches, and on this recording each Chakra vibrates at a Perfect Fifth above the previous one." There is also an encoded Theta wave which vibrates at 4.5 hz, an octave above the Heart Chakra pitch. (Alpha, Beta, and Theta waves are different vibrational frequencies, theta allowing for a deep meditation). The booklet also explains that the physics of music allows us to combine specific pitches with harmonic intervals in a way that encourages your body to attune itself, if you are open to allowing the attunement to happen. If you don't need to know all that vibrational stuff or don't know anything about Reiki, that's fine. If you just want to get a really good night's sleep, I think this would help. The vibration it emits is awesome. Although I can't say for sure, of course, going to sleep with this CD every night would probably get you a really good night's sleep AND might help you make some profound changes in your life by helping you to better align your Chakras. (When your Chakras are aligned, you are at peace, happy, and can think more clearly. You are healthier, too.) Is it worth a couple of bucks to try to improve your life? I think so. There are 4 tracks and they run pretty continually (they slide into each other), for 67:04 minutes, or a little over an hour. It's not like a music CD where you hear a definitive break between the songs. Peace and love to you in your search for enlightenment. Namaste' (Note: If you don't already know, "Namaste'" is used quite often these days among many on a spiritual path--it means "The divine/soul part of me recognizes the divine/soul part of you" -- Like saying "My soul says hi to your soul". It's a great thought to carry with you because if somebody does something that gets you upset, you start to remind yourself that at the soul level, we are all beautiful and perfect. Sometimes you have to just look a little harder for that perfection in someone else but it's there. " |
