"I was first introduced to Wayne Watson's music in college, and I've been intrigued ever since. 'Would I Know You Now' has challenged me for years. He is NOT the typical, overly-produced "fluff" of which we have seen so much. Not a single line is without purpose.And who else lets you in as he does? Over the years he's painted such vivid pictures of his kids growing up, and of his love for and awe of his wife. He's shared with us his personal struggles and conflicts, all told with such honesty. Psalm 25:14 says, "The Lord confides in those who fear him...", and considering the depth of the truths Wayne Watson passes on to us, I can only imagine that God and he have exactly that relationship.I've owned this CD for two years, and the more I listen to it, the more it makes me examine my own heart. I can't honestly say it's my favorite musically (thus the four stars), but perhaps that's a good thing - the phenomenal message throughout the lyrics is just that much more prominent. The challenge of 'Trust In You', 'One of These Days' and 'The Wrong Stuff'; the solid truth in 'Merciful Heaven' and 'The Blood of Jesus'; and the encouragement of 'Finest Hour'...they never fail to make me think...Usually the song which comes to define his CDs in my mind is the one about his family, and this one is no exception. 'Turning Into Dad' will break your heart."
