Waverland: It's Not a Place, It's a State of Mind - No passport required. Not to Visit Our Fascinations, at least. But what is a fascination? Well, it depends who you ask. To us, it s those summer days on the lake, summer nights around the campfire, and living the good life with a guitar in one hand and a set of bongos in another. That s Waverland. In our debut album, Visit Our Fascinations, we hope our island-style of music will ease your thoughts into a vacation state-of-mind. It s a mindset that anyone can have, but few allow themselves to enjoy. It s that relaxed mindset that inspired the first scribbled lyrics to a spring break anthem. While we ve always loved music, neither one of us realized the impact that light-hearted tune would one day have, not only on our music, but on our friendship. Before our trip to the Florida Keys, we were going in different directions; professionally and musically. We were both students seeking out college degrees, and we both had different tastes in music - tastes that we realize now, didn t seem to fit us. It wasn t until we collaborated our talents for this song, did we realize the chemistry we had as artists and the calling that came with our laid-back style of music. On our debut album, we call that anthem, Visit Our Fascinations. From there, the beats and lyrics started flowing effortlessly. Considering we have been friends since childhood, we ve been able to understand one another s teaching style, singing style, and working style - an understanding that has made our relationship as band-mates successful and productive. It has also helped us produce some pretty unique songs that we can say, we re extremely proud of. No matter where you are, our music will take you to the other side; a place where the air is warm, the breeze is slow, and paradise is just a melody away. Come Visit Our Fascinations.
