"Pros: Nice to hear the real Warrior Soul again and nice that they've taken back a lot of their old material. In particular the redone versions of songs from "Last Decade Dead Century" stand out because of the dated sound of the original recordings-- now the guitars actually stand out, and "Tripping on Ecstasy" actually rocks instead of being lightweight postpunk. Cons: This could take a while... the most galling flaw is a terrible version of "The Wasteland," widely regarded as their best, which swaps the Jane's Addiction-like power of the original for a garage hair metal band sound. We find out that "We Are the Government" is actually Joy Division's "Interzone" (even though it's credited to Warrior Soul), "Love Destruction" trades all funkiness and tightness for slackened metal, and the songs taken from the final two albums weren't very memorable to begin with and are less so in the so-so versions here. And Kory, everything doesn't need to be so loud. Uncredited bonus track is "Blown" from "Salutations From the Ghetto Nation"."

"Warrior Soul is a band that took on society, and lost. An awesome band that never recieved the recognition that it deserved. I remember that first time "We Cry Out" aired on Headbanger's Ball. I wasn't too impressed with it, and then came "The Losers". I picked up the album, and what a pleasant surprise. So, these guys get together after so many years and decide to record some of their classics with a fresh new sound. The Bullet Boys did this as well as Love/Hate. I love it! It's loud!I would like to commend the previous reviewer, particularly his noticing that "We Are The Government" was really Joy Division's "Interzone". Good call! I would have never caught that one."
