"This CD is such a fabulous listening experience. Highlights are the beautiful "Whips of Mercy," the unique "Song for Nico," and the heartwrenching "Motorcycles." It is deeply cathartic, and I love it. I am going to buy their latest CD, Phoenix. Hopefully i will see them in concert one day."

"First a short story...Early 1975, Pink Floyd is in the studio making "Wish You Were Here" an homage to the bands original heart and soul Syd Barrett. Barrett had mental and drug problems and dropped out of the band some 6 years earlier and hadn't been heard of since.
But shock of shocks Barrett shows up un-announced while recording "Shine On You Crazy Diamond!" He hangs out with the Floyd's for the day, passes luke warm judgement on the new songs and once again disappears, never (at least to this date)having contact with his former band mates.
All four Members of Floyd have said how almost "Out of Body" the day felt. It was amazing how they were able to convey the BRILLIANCE of Barrett on this record in their own unique way, and how INFLUENTIAL this man still was so many years later. And to have him just show up in the studio on the day that he did!
Now on the the Warlocks...Just like Waters, Gilmore, Mason and Wright were able to channel Barrett into "WYWH", so has Bobby Hecksher called upon Barrett's soul on Rise and Fall! EVERYTHING great about Syd Barrett and Pink Floyd is here! Mind tripping three chord rock just doesn't get better than this!
If you're familiar with the whole Psychedelic revival going on in the Northwest, ala The Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Out Crowd, BRMC and the Dandy's then you probably know how wonderful this record is. If you've only heard of these bands then this record is a TERRIFIC entry onto this world of droning, ethereal and raving rock and roll!
All three of the Warlocks cd's are a must as is seeing these guys (and gals) in concert. But start HERE and move forward to Phoenix and Surgery. You will NOT be disappointed!"
