"Walter Rossi's Self titled debut is by far his best works.
For those who are curious about his music, you cannot go wrong with the 2 compilation CDs "Picks" and "All the Best" which cover his first 3 CDs (Walter Rossi/6 Strings 9 Lives, and Diamonds for the kid). I have "All the Best" on CD, and only
3 songs from the "Walter Rossi" CD were included i.e. The AWESOME "Chasing Rainbows",The ROCKING "Hey Serena" and the MELLOW "Woman sweet woman". The song which really does it for me though is "Get goin fast". The pace is frenetic and the guitar work is,how can I say,POWERFUL indeed. The old Don Nix Chestnut "Goin Down" is also given a great airring. "Ripdad" is also a great toon. You cannot go wrong with this CD. A truly great guitarist who is not afraid to mix other genres of music (Latino for example)onto his recordings. Also of note is that Frank Marino's (Of Mahogany Rush) original drummer features prominently on Walter's "6 STrings.." CD.Walter also featured on the Self titled Billy Workman CD,alongside Frank Marino, and Wow!!! you should hear the song "Boogie Home". Man! that song KILLS BIG TIME"
