"I attended this show at the Mercury Lounge in NYC in October of last year, which unfortunately was Walt Mink's last. Having just heard this CD, it recalls all of the energy and power that this band ,and in particular this show, had. Within the last ten years, they are perhaps the saddest case of a band never gaining a foot-hold in order to climb out of obscurity. Having listened to any and all forms of music that I could get my hands on, I have to say that I think Walt Mink is one of the best bands of the last decade. Borrowing from punk, folk, and just plain pure guitar rock, they have succeeded in combining these elements into what is just pure musical joy. For those who haven't heard them, some attempt to explain their style of music as Smashing Pumpkinsesque, stripped of the fourty guitar tracks, and substituted with the right "one", while at the same time adding the elements of sarcasm and joy. So if you are a Walt Mink fan this CD is a must have. If you don't know about Walt Mink, do yourself a favor and find out about them. I'd perhaps start with the other albums first, however, especially Bareback Ride, El Producto, and Colossus. There are rumors that the band might be playing again soon, and that John Kimbrough, the guitarist and singer is making an acoustic album."

"Having been a Walt Mink fan since their early days at the beginning of the decade, I can feel myself transported to any of a number of their shows. This recording does a fabulous job of capturing the energy and tencity of this unfortunate band. Far surpassing most Alt-Rock bands in integrity, lyrical and musical originality, and overall energy, they never managed to break out onto the national scene. Highly recommended: Miss Happiness and Colossus. Even if you absolutely love the Smashing Pumpkins, you'll HATE them after you listen to Walt Mink!"
Great Mink.

"If you miss Walt Mink like I do, then you will love this CD. Like most live albums, it is best enjoyed by the devoted fans, but if you like Walt Mink, then you should definately buy (or borrow) this album to capture your memories of the band. I love it."
