"You can't throw a beer bottle anymore without hitting some alt-country wannabee. The Wacos are far and away the best of the lot, and this is far and away their best disc. Langford has the fire-in-the-belly of Billy Jo Shaver (without the gut.) This is loud, rude, and fo-real. This is the best of rock and country, without becoming (pause to spit) country rock."

"A great collection of punch-drunk honky tonk punk. Just the opening track alone is worth the price of admission."

"This is a great disc for three spectacular songs: "Arizona Rose", "Napa Valley", and "South Bend." The rest of the songs are damned fine also. Highly recommended."
