Voivod incorporated Die Kreuzen's sound, their own sci fi themes and complex song structures into a thrash metal masterpiece."

"Dimension Hatröss is an album that never seems to get the recognition it deserves. While it tends to steer away from the rough thrash background it had (yet still has traces of it), it seems that the band incorporated a lot of Pink Floyd-esque influence to it as well. The whole result comes out to be one of the most innovative and groundbreaking albums to come out in metal.



The science fiction concept about a particle accelerator fits the band's style here perfectly. The riffs by the late Denis "Piggy" D'Amour give it a mind boggling feel, and Snake's vocal approach tends to be more melodic to fit the mood. What Voivod gives us here is a science fiction novel, adapted to music format, giving the audio effects on what happens throughout the story.



A brilliant masterpiece that must be played if you have a passion for progressive rock or thrash metal."
