"These sonatas, like the violincello sonatas, are part of a less travelled road by both performers and listeners of Vivaldi's music. I am not a professional musician, but as a listener, one could hardly hear more joyous performances of these sonatas. Not particularly profound works, they provide enjoyment for easy classical listening, both in the two-part and in the ensemble sonatas. This disc seemed to end before it began, so enjoyable was the listening experience. Particularly in the ensemble sonatas, Glaetzner knows when to "hand-off" the lead to another, so the constant back and forth interplay removes any note of sameness or feeling of repetition as can so often be felt in Vivaldi. These musicians seemed to be genuinely having fun here! Unreservedly recommended to the jaded Vivaldi listener."
