Synopsis
Product Description Not content with just being hometown favorites in Philadelphia, Violent Society have toured nationally, taking their East Coast punk to the kids across the globe. In addition to numerous headlining tours and support dates (with GBH, Subhumans and more), VS completed a full tour with Kill Your Idols in '98 and spent Spring/Summer '99 touring the US with the Casualties and Unseen. Currently, the band is playing in and around the east coast with no plans for touring, but watch their web page for updates and various side projects including Pat's new band, Cranked Up and Jon's band Superbuick. Formed in 1990. Have done 8 USA tours, 2 European tours, 5 cds, lots of 7" 's, split 7"'s, various compilations and numerous band members. Have played with just about everyone including: GBH, The Exploited, Youth Brigade, DOA, The Fiendz, The Casualties, The Unseen, Anti-Flag, Dropkick Murphys, The Boils, Subhumans, Bouncing Souls, Lifetime, Misfits, The Business, Anti-Nowhere League, Total Chaos, Battalion Of Saints, UK Subs, Special Duties, Blanks 77 and countless other bands. CD ReviewsViolent Society, Punk Rock Gods angstboy@buffnet.net (angstboy@buff | Angstbille | 07/24/1999 (5 out of 5 stars) "Nevermind the MTV punk crap like Green Day and The Offspring, this is the real deal kiddies! Violent Society is easily one of the best bands out there. Chunk style guitar, snotty vocals and thundering bass and drums served up warp speed straight between yer eyes. Wot do they sound like? Take the Sex Pistols shoot them full of chrank and have them play through Metallica's amps. A must have!"
