"This album by Victor Manuelle is throw back to 60's / 70's sonero style salsa that became so popular in New York in those years. It has the flavor of yesteryear with some acoustics and musical arrangements of today's salsa nuances. Right from the start the album was convincing and right through to the end the album kept delivering a high standard of songs which is so characteristic of Victor Manuelle. This is definitely a different style by the "sonero" who has paved a convincing career path over the years. However, this salsa is in a class by itself. There is no other album of his to compare it to. It's very unique and truly outstanding. Give it a try....y no tienes que preguntarle a luna. This is a wonderful album indeed!"

"As a devout listener of salsa music, I must say that this CD is trully reflective of the artist Victor Manuelle. I believe he went back to his grassroots type of salsa and compiled an excellent array of tracks that are trully great, including the first single, "En Nombre de los dos". He is "el sonero de la juventud" and as we Puerto Riquenos say..."en esta-se boto!!!" May he continue to produce great melodies and songs from the heart."

"Victor Manuelle has proved himself again. Not only those this album have great songs but different from his previous albums it has a mellower, softer mood. The album is very different from "Insticto y Deseo", which I thought was great, because there is no one great song like Quisiera Inventar, instead every song is good and has it's distinct style. Don't get me wrong, the first time I heard this album I wasn't satisfied, but it grew on me. The album just gets better everytime you listen to it. The lyrics are as meaningful as his other cds and what else can I say, Victor Manuelle is simply the best."

"After "Ironias" was released, I felt that the quality of Victor Manuelle's releases went way down. A good song here and there, but for the most part a lifeless and tiring repetition of the same sound over and over and over....... It was great for a while but I got tired of it! I stopped being excited about him having a new release. I thought he'd never release another good album. I'm happy to say Mr. Manuelle has proved me wrong. It took me a while to pick this one up. A friend loaned it to me, and it sat on my Cd player for a month. I was very pleasantly surprised when I finally put it in! I returned it and got my own copy. At last, something fresh and different from Victor Manuelle! For once most of the songs have their own unique sound. A problem even with albums like "Ironias" was that almost all the tracks sounded alike. This is still straight up Salsa Romantica. But he's added a harder edge/more up-beat element to several tracks. Its a nice change from his normally uber-romantic soneos/style.Please note I am NOT part of the "Victor Manuelle is the greatest" fan club. But I still definitely recommend this album. Get this album and "Exitos de Victor Manuelle" and leave the rest of 'em to the V. M. groupies."
