"So if you enjoy any of todays top club tunes, and you don't want to pick up the singles for each and every one of them, this album may just be for you. You get many chart toppers on this disc and a couple of previously unavailable mixes. A quick rundown of the songs:1) Big Love - Pete Heller: A massive club track presented here as the "Dronez Dub". Pete Heller being one half of the remix duo Fire Island (who have reworked tracks for Janet Jackson, Rozalla, Angel Moraes and more) shows us how he has become one of the leaders in house music. This track has got a great bassline, some awesome percussion and minimal vocals. A great way to start the disc.2) Someone To Hold - Veronica: Johnny Vicious (Deborah Cox, Traci Lords, Duncan Sheik) has given us a fantastic club anthem with this one. Veronica is soon going to rival a few other dance divas as the queen of clubs if she keeps on releasing tracks like this one. Hard beats, good lyrics and great vocals make this one a winner.3) Aura Tribe - Dan Q: Tribal, tribal tribal. 5 minutes of hard beats and drums. Mixed together with Basement Jaxx's "Fly Life" into one track.4) It's Over Now - Deborah Cox: The only was to get this mix on CD. If you are a Deborah Cox fan a must have. Has a similar groove to the Hex Hector Club Mix of this song, but with less vocals and a few builds and breaks to bring your party to peak levels. Also check out the maxi single for this song. You get 7 different versions! Including the Junior Vasquez and Hex Hector mixes.5) Feel This - Robbie Rivera: Very minimal vocals, mainly consisting of a girl going "Oh" stuck in front of a repetitive beat. Not that exciting, one of the lesser songs on the disc. But does mix very well into the next track...6)Unspeakable Joy - Kim English: One of the best club songs of the year. Razor & Guido (Kylie Minogue, Xaviera Gold) have made this one into a massive anthem. Stunning builds and breaks, chock full of diva vocals and chants make this club smash one of the top tracks on the album. I dare you not to dance to this one.7) Share The Love - Andrea Martin: This girl sounds like Robin S! In fact, that's who I thought it was at first. Great vocals from this girl. Hani (De'Lacy, Savage Garden, Deee-Lite) gives us a very powerful diva anthem, almost as good as Kim English. This girl is one to watch out for as well. This song is mixed in with Royal House's "Can You Party" an instrumental dub mix of the song.8) Theme From Love - De Giacomo: A waste of time being on this cd. You get Hex's Drum Dub here, but only about a minute and a half of it. Worthless track, just filler.9)Do It Properly - The Collaboration: How can this song go wrong? Victor Calderone & Peter Rauhofer together? Originally a song done by C+C Music Factory (or produced by them anyways, I'm not 100% sure) and a great house anthem, Calderone & Rauhofer have revamped it for the new millenium. A fantastic voice screaming for you to "Do It Properly" with those signature hard beats pounding behind her voice. Watch this one rip up the charts.10) Are U Ready - Hyperdelics: Another tribal sounding song, this one more fun than Dan Q's track mainly because it has a salsa/conga groove to is as well. Slightly reminiscent of Bellini's "Samba De Janiero".11) Sky Fits Heaven - Madonna: What can I say. Calderone's Future Mix of this song kicks. The song has a dark feel to it which works well with the lyrics. Madonna and Calderone have never disappointed us before when they have gotten together and with this one they continue on their winning streak. A must have.12) Push It - Garbage: A very unfortunate dub that doesn't do much. Only two and a half minutes of the song are included. The song is just a conclusion to the disc. This is an album you must purchase if you are a fan of club music that you aren't going to hear on Top 40 radio. You want to be in the club all day and night, pick this one up and leave it in your player. Permanantly. Well, at least until Victor Calderone presents us with his next mix."

"I had a 2 hour drive from NYC at 4 in the morning when I first got the chance to pop in this disc, and anyone that's been priviledged enough to experience Roxy when Victor is spinning will understand when I say I got that Roxy feeling! My blood shot eyes and weary head were cleared on the first track and it kept me pumpin for the whole trip (CD player set on 'repeat all' of course), and I was itching to dance. The entire disc is divine, especially 'Sky Fits Heaven' with hints of 'Frozen' and 'Beautiful Stranger' thrown into Mr. Calderone's cauldron of aural inspirations. Only Junior can match him live, but I have yet to hear another CD that can claim the same. Buy this disc now, and you'll shake your head in wonder, 'Why Oh Why did I wait so long! ' as 'repeat all' buttons are pressed through out the land..."

"Victor remains the best with the release of this highly anticipated compilation. You can almost picture yourself in a club as Victor brings the room up to an infectious high, tweaks and turns the room a bit towards trance, and then pushes the emotional journey even further - almost to the point that you need to sit down. Although a lot of vocal tracks, including a masterful version of Sky Fits Heaven, it is missing that electric 3am increased B.P.M. "trippy" beats-only sound that is a trademark at a LIVE Victor show (just before you head out to afterhours). Dont get me wrong...this is THE CD to have in your collection and should be a part of every circuit boy's collection. Nicely done, Mr. Calderone! Looking forward to your summer CD release, Miami on New Years Eve, Palm Springs, and Orlando next summer!"
Good but could have been better

"I can't really say that I am much of a fan of mixed cds nowadays. I used to buy mixed cds left to right. Now I think they have run their course because there are too many on the market at the moment. I am not a big house music fan today as I used to be. One of the better mixed cds of house music is Victor Calderone's "Vol. 1-E-Vc2". Victor did some killer remixes for Madonna which is one of the reasons I bought this cd. He does a remix of my all time favorite Madonna song "Sky Fits Heaven". I always felt that song should have been released as a single. It would have been perfect for a remix treatment. Calderone does it on this cd and does it well. I also dug his dub mix of Garbage's "Push It". Normally I don't care for dub mixes but in this case, it isn't bad and I actually like it. Overall the cd flows nicely. It is really hard for me to find a mixed cd where the songs flows together with ease and with no abrupt breaks. As for the other songs, I also enjoyed Veronica's "Someone to Hold", Deborah Cox's "It's Over Now", and the Kim English and Andrea Martin songs. Those were my particular favorites (other than the Madonna and Garbage tracks). The production definitely has a live vibe which is a must for mixed cds in my opinion. It makes the listening experience sounds like you are already in the nightclub on a Saturday night."
Good, but not as powerful as actually being in his club

"Big Love, big dance hit, fun way to start the disc. Someone to Hold is probably Veronica's hottest, but sort of gets chopped here and loses the power it has in its original extended form. Boring drum track follows, then, oddly, a dub of Deborah Cox, but it does retain the great buildup. Another drum track follows, then a long cut of the diva anthem Unspeakable Joy, followed by another diva with attitude, Andrea Martin. More tribal, then nearly the full length version of "Do It Properly" in its peak hour glory. Another drum track follows, and then we get the must have Calderone mix of Madonna's Sky Fits Heaven, before ending with a short dub of Garbage. With just a few highlights and exclusives, this disc tends to get boring with its cycle of vocal/drum tracks. Calderone can spin a peak hour like nobody's business...just wish he would have done so hear. Track times:
