"Vicente Amigo is indeed one of the most representative artists of the flamenco music in Spain. This compilation includes the best -hard to find- gold pieces of Amigo. The essence of his inspiration. One of the tracks is for sure the hit of this CD: "Querido Metheny" (Dear Metheny). In this song, the talent of Vicente Amigo and his idol, Paco De Lucia, generate a vibrant climax and mix between flamenco roots and Pat Metheny's undescriptable jazz fusion music. With this dedication Pat Metheny should feel proud and thankfull. "Guajira", "Ventanas del Alma" and "Callejon de la Luna" (with Juan Habichuela) are also excellent songs. The last name of this musician -Amigo- means "Friend" in spanish. This is certainly a beautiful contemporary flamenco music that respects the roots of this gendre, and an excellent piece of art to express gratitude to a "Friend". Enjoy it !"
