CD Reviews

"The Ventures unique fresh clear water sound"
D'ASTE FRANCO | Italy | 12/02/2007

"Wonderful CD,clear true STEREO sound,containing four(4)superb diamonds: "Pipeline"-"Diamonds"-"The Ninth Wave"-"Caravan".

I don't agree with PeterfromK,this is the best performance of Diamonds. Jet Harris is very good with his bass sound but from a guitar technique p.o.v.(all guitar),The Ventures version belongs to Proxima Centauri. The sound of this CD is fantastic (the french did a wonderful French-job)and plays much better than a lot of CD's made over 10 years later...the one of Jet Harris unfortunately (french should have a look at it) plays in very minor league. Only one very small remark on the mixing: in Pieline the lead guitar is a bit too much on the right channel only (you reveal it more by headphone) but Wonderful Sound anyway!

If you feel down and need energy put this CD in your CDP and give it a bit of gas.

I suggest also The Ventures "Let's Go!" 2004 ORR,same wonderful sound, same French sound engineering.

Ciao,

Franco

"Why don't they just remaster the original album? They added tracks and doubled the price. Scratching my head...."
