"This CD is a real jewel. It's been years since the Ventures have put together anything close to the quality that made them famous. The tasteful arrangements and orchastration rings of the days of Walk Don't Run, Perfidia, Etc. It's great to have them return to pure guitar playing. You can almost hear the words from these haunting melodies."

"This CD features two albums released by the Ventures in 1974. One features songs popularized by the Carpenters. The other features songs written by the late Jim Croce. The songs are performed in a tasteful, instrumental style. A guitar replaces the singing parts on the original versions. This is definitely not the Ventures at their most rocking, but if you like the mellow side of the Ventures, you should enjoy it."
