"This is thefirst Venom album since "Possessed", to contain all three original members. It is by no means a bad album, but by the same token, not an amazing album either. The production is crystal clear, and the musicianship is much tighter, but the songs are a far cry from the days of old. This album sounds like a cross between Metallica, old Venom, and at times possibly even Slayer. Some songs jam pretty hard, and some fall flat (Raised in Hell and Bleeding are two floppos). Abaddon's drumming has tightened up, but he just doesn't do a whole lot. The disc I have came with a bonus disc of remastered early Venom tunes, which makes this an essential purchase either way. The satanic themes on this album have been toned down a bit and Venom just do not play with the fury of their early years. If you are a Venom fan, you won't feel as thought you wasted cash, but you won't be blown away either."
