Vectors: Behind the Orange Curtain CD

"This is an outstanding CD containing (most importantly) the recordings the Vectors did during the late 1970s and early 1980s. (not to be confused with the Swedish band also called the "Vectors"). It bridges the gap between early California-style KBD punk/surf punk and new wave and powerpop from the same era. If you like the first two Ramones albums, the first two Stranglers albums, the first two Devo albums, the Readymades, the first Humans EP, etc., then this CD is for you. It's minimalist. It's fantastic. It's very retro 1970s punk, but definitely not hardcore punk. Some would consider the Vectors closer to a new wave band, though others would disagree. In any event, this CD comes highly, highly recommended."
