"I had heard about Vaux for the longest time but for some reason I had never gotten around to listening to them. That is until I saw them play at a show with Hopesfall and Head Automatica. The set was one of the most energetic and amazing I had ever seen and I immediately went to the merch table and picked up this EP along with their full length. Simply put, this album, although brief, is one of the best things I've heard this year. Every song on this cd is outstanding and I've had a hard time picking a favorite.
The album begins with a bang with the awesome "Celibate Good Times" which is available for download on Purevolume.com and ends with a bang on the explosive "Plague Music". The middle three songs are also very good with "Raid" probably being the best of the three. The only track that doesn't really seem to fit is "Sex Will Happen Tonight" but its slow rhythm and obscure keyboarding are the perfect setup for the juggernaut that is "Plague Music".
This is Vaux's last record on an indie label as they recently signed with Atlantic and are currently recording their sophomore full-length. The only problem I have with this EP is its brevity as it clocks in at a measly 16 minutes. However, not one of those minutes is wasted and by the end you will be begging for more.
Also, contrary to popular belief the album "Audible Narcotic" is NOT their sophomore release. It is simply a re-release of an album they made under the name Eiffel. It is also important to note that according to the guitar player and the vocalist, both of whom I spoke with, that the band does NOT in any way endorse the re release."

"What a fantastic EP. I normally don't purchase EPs but download them instead, but after hearing "Celibate Good Times" I had to buy it. I wish there were more songs on this, though. But, don't be sad about it, their sophmore album "Audible Narcotic" comes out October 12th. If there were more songs on this, I'd definitely call it better than "There Must Be Some Way to Stop Them." Download the song "Celibate Good Times" from www.equalvision.com (Equal Vision Records), you won't regret it. Also, look for them on tour this fall, they're headlining the EVR tour. Don't miss the tour, and don't miss this EP. You'll be sorry."
