A Superb Isolationist Outing

"It's true, this album has that introverted feeling that you can hear in so many solo albums, but that works to the music's advantage. From the distorted stomp of "The Hammer Goes Down" through the tortured-wind sound of "lbs." the back-porch throb of "Thorns & Such" and the subtle, crafty closer "The Year of Dope," this album marks the appearance of Anders Parker, perhaps the best songwriters I've ever heard. I give this my highest recommendation and encourage you to check out "Sweet Life" as well."
