More cutting freestyle classics

"Cutting is one of the alltime best freestyle labels and i was thrilled they started releasing the full length freestyle club mixes on CD. vol 3-4 plus 1-2 include most of Cutting's top freestyle tracks. 3&4 include 2 amazing tracks from Vienna which never got the success they deserved, plus Sa-fire's very good Boy I've Been Told & Corina's extraordinary crossover Temptation plus Fascination (who really deserves her own compilation - she's had so many hits!) and some surprises (Do Unto Me from Coro). It's a great compilation but there are some great tracks missing: Yvonne DeLeon's I Can't Face the Fact (better than some tracks on this compilation) + Safire's Love Is On Her Mind (great extended mix), and the mixes of Fascination's Still Miss You and Brenda K/Concept of One's So In Love are both sorta weak - the 12"s boasted some much better remixes with heavy editing and a better pulsing beat... Maybe these will come out in vol 5+6??? If Cutting could get the rights to some of the other NYC Freestyle labels to include on vol5/6, that could create a killer club mix collection. How about Vinylmania (Fascination - Don't You Think It's Time, Why You Wanna Go, Go Away), Ligosa (the AMAZING Monet - My Heart Gets All the Breaks, Come onto Me, Give Into Me, Do You Remember, No Room for 3), (Midnight Sun - Leather & Lace/Arlene - Tender Heart, Rock Me Shake Me, We Can Work it Out, Suzy Swan - Can't Take These Lies, Midnight Fantasy feat Nadia - Is It Me or Is It Her, Come Back to Me, Why Cry?, Come a Little Closer) plus all of Berrios' releases (Jasmin - On The Loose, Once is Enough, Noela - Lonely Days, Definite Destruction - You Played Me for a Fool), LA Girls - No More No More - i'd love to get these 12" club mixes on CD!!! "lots of goodies here. many of these songs here have never been available on cd format before. i have most of these songs on vinyl and have been praying for them on cd. so thank you cutting records. "do unto me" is the hardest coro song to find.and the only one i never had. but now i do.
for me, the highlight of this compilation is Jammy's "walk away". i have always loved that song. i havnt heard it in years because i dont have a turntable any more. so i'm loving this cd.
thanks again to cutting records, i hope tthey release more of these compilations. maybe even the entire concept of one cd getting re-released. that would be cool."

"Personally, I was more familiar with tracks on Volumes 1&2, and also didn't find a couple of the extended versions I've been hoping to find on CD here. I wish the house remix I have of "Boy I've Been Told" from the B-side of the "Thinking of You" 12", which has a much heavier beat, had been on here. And this mix of "Now That You're Gone" is the AM Freestyle Dance Mix from the vinyl 12" version, where as, I prefer the K.O. house mix from the same 12". But I did finally get the "New School Freestyle Mix" of Temptation on CD. Too bad they did not round out the Corina collection and put the 12" of Whispers on here too. Track times:
