Synopsis

Album Description
etown live volume 3 is the third in a series of compilations highlighting the best live performances culled from etown?s extensive library. With a limited run of 20,000 pieces, etown live volume 3 combines such popular artists as David Gray, Natalie Merchant and Indigo Girls, along with rare performances from late artists such as Pops Staples and Rick Danko. The first two installments, appropriately titled etown live and etown live two, were immediate successes in the Rocky Mountain region and beyond.

CD Reviews

Solid overview of an excellent radio show
Dr. Scott | Minneapolis, MN | 08/02/2008
(4 out of 5 stars)

"I love E-town. Sure it's got a great social conscience, but man, the music! I have purchased more new music based on performances on E-town than any other single source. E-town Live, vol III is a collection of live performances from the show. It has many awesome tracks (by Eliza Gilkyson, Blind Boys of Alabama, Pops Staples, Susan Tedeschi and more), some solid but uninspiring tracks (Midnight Oil, Indigo Girls) and one stinker (Randy Newman). All-in-all it's a solid CD with some great live music and an excellent way to support a remarkable radio program."
Best of the Bunch
Jeff Fiske | Denver, Colorado United States | 06/07/2004
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I've got all three of the E-town live discs and, while they're all great, this is the best. The Blind Boys of Alabama cut alone is worth the purchase price."
