Synopsis

Album Description
From Kevin Smith's latest in a long line of MPAA boundary pushing, laugh-out-loud raunch comedies, comes ZACK AND MIRI MAKE A PORNO: MUSIC FROM THE MOTION PICTURE. Lifelong platonic friends Zack (SETH ROGEN) and Miri (ELIZABETH BANKS) look to solve their respective cash flow problems by making an "adult" together. As the cameras roll, however, the duo begin to sense that they may have more feelings for each other than they previously thought. The soundtrack is chock full of hits layered with innuendo that will recall first times, backseat romances, and all the partying that greased the wheels. Includes hard to find hit songs from Jermaine Stewart (We Don't Have To Take our Clothes Off), Climax Blues Band (I Love You) and Len (Steal My Sunshine). Also includes '90s Alternative Rock tracks from the Pixies (Hey), Primus (Wynona's Big Beaver) and Marcy Playground (Sex and Candy) and '80 new wave classics from Blondie (Dreaming), Bronski Beat (Smalltown Boy) and the Jesus & Mary Chain (Just Like Honey). Exclusive music to movie is also featured from MC Chris (Fett's Vette) and James Venable (The Money Montage). Also features 10 hilarious dialogue bonus snippets from Seth Rogen and the cast. Included sound bites are: "The Idea Comes...Hard", "Salutations", "The Rosie Defense", "Star Whores", "Meet the Producer", "Delaney's Lament", "The Worst Porno You've Ever Seen", "Ain't Love Grand", "The Dutch Rudder" and "Parting Shot".

CD Reviews

Kevin Smith if you're out there, read this.

"Epic fail, brilliant movie. One of the most expressive, inspiring songs out there by Live, called Lift Me Up. Included on the soundtrack? Nope. Available anywhere except for a scratchy bootleg? Nope.

This song practically defined this movie's soundtrack, what were you guys thinking?"
Greatly Disappointed

"As with other people's reviews that i am reading; upon watching the movie was greatly drawn into the curiosity of the soundtrack, only to find the one and what I believed was the BEST song in the whole movie was during, "Zack and Miri--make love for the first time", is NOT on the original soundtrack; i do know the artist is LIVE and the name of the song is Lift Me Up...however, as to rub salt in my wounds...you can not get it!!! To me...that is just shy of torture...that scene and song made the Whole movie for me!!!!!"
I found Live - Hold me Up!!

"I know a lot of people are really upset about this song missing from the soundtrack, but you can download a pretty high quality version here: http://www.mediafire.com/?nmenfyk0lq2

As for the rest of the album, I have always had a soft spot for the Kevin Smith voiceovers in his soundtracks, and aside from that one glaring omission, it's still a solid soundtrack."
