"I'll paint you a picture:
You and some friends have splurged on a weekend in NYC. You've already had a great time out on the town, it's past midnight, and you happen across a funky hotel in midtown that's got a lounge/club with a rep for having a great after-hours vibe. "Looks interesting" you say, as you ride the elevator to the top. The doors open, and immediately there's an enticing pulse emanating from the room. It's that 'can't quite put your finger on it but why do I feel compelled to dance and chill out at the same time?' thing.
The place is packed, and you're immediately welcomed to a party that's obviously going to continue for quite a while yet. But it's not your typical party. It's as if your circle of friends just grew by a 200 people. It's warm, inviting, comfortable, like a well-worn sweatshirt. You're immediately at home here. Grab a drink, you're gonna be here a while.
*That's* what this mix feels like.
And long after you leave and return back to the daily grind, the vibe, the feeling, the emotions, they're all right there with you, to escape to anytime you like. Just plug in the headphones at work, hit 'play', lay back, close your eyes, and you're right there...
