"ITP Records' "Underground Oldies" series' ninth volume features 16 obscure Soul ballads from the 1960s and '70s which went nowhere when originally released but that merit a reappraisal. The tracks by Mike & The Censations, The Satisfactions, The Fantastic Four, Ted Taylor, Garland Green, The Individuals and Landy Nova are all superb examples of romantic "Sweet Soul" from an era when good music was the rule (and not the exception)."
