"Despite cramming 16 tracks onto 1 disc with this series, as compared to the "thrivemix" discs, Thrive manages to squeeze in several remixes that run over 5 minutes for collectors, since most of these aren't being released on CD anymore, including Kate Perry, Danity Kane, Britney Spears, Natasha Bedingfield, Estelle, and Cascada. Most of the remixes are pretty straightforward, just throwing a heavier dance beat behind these commercial hits, but that's what makes it a party disc. As with volume one, the jarring thing about this party mix is its need to satisfy all with a variety of dance genres, so suddenly, in the middle of the disc you get original album versions of numerous hip hop and rap songs, but things end off back in the club, with remixes by the likes of Soul Seekerz. I sure wish some label would get savvy to the fact that there are still CD collectors who would like to have all these full length remixes in uncompressed quality on CD, without the distraction of being beatmixed as they are here. It's just no fun jumping to one of your favorite tracks only to find it's `already in progress'."
