Synopsis

Album Description
"Strange, ... I've heard that sound before" is suggested by the first track "Strange" opening the sound gates of TANGOmotion Vol. 2. Rightfully. Because the Grace Jones track was already woven into the track "Libertango" on the first compilation "TANGOmotion - Neo Tango Chill". Thus DJ Red Buddha skilfully makes a connection between the first and no, second Tango compilation, which is also released on Black Flame, a division of Blue Flame Records. The titles of the album are combined into a chill-lounge summer compilation and let the breath of South America flow through the loudspeakers filling the room with the charm of Argentina. Variedly and crisply, like the steps of the dancers, the tracks change from purely instrumental to those with whispers, spoken word or singing thus enriching frisky instrumentation. Soft sounding and melancholic melodies float over the parquet and tryst with clubby groovy elements of electronic sounds that float through the alleys, bars and streets Buenos Aires. Dominating instruments, beside electronic sounds, so typical for Tango South America are different wind instruments, solo guitars, piano sounds, percussion and accordion. Violin, piano and guitar underline the typical Bandoneon sound characteristic of Argentine Tango passion. Tango master Astor Piazzolla, from Mar del Plata, for example didn't only invent the powerful and passionate romantic music, but also interpreted it to perfection on the Bandoneon. This sound was taken up by the further artists on the CD TANGOmotion Vol. 2: Amando Amargo, Sudestada Tango Lounge, Ensemble Ethnique, Meloscience Corp., etc. They all mix Tango with electronic sounds, taking up the classical Tango music. As a bonus on the album, there is an original recording video clip, taken from the Global Vision DVD series "South America" showing Tango dancers. The music from the clip is titled "Tango Fantasia" by Groupo Maron. The clip was taken at cafés and streets of Buenos Aires and shows the manifoldness of situations in which Tango is lived and is celebrated.
