"Aptly titled "Sunshine Days", this collection of pop "lite" tunes from the late 60s provides a soothing collection of tunes to be enjoyed by fans of the genre or the perfect example of what rock fans hated about this realm of pop music. Here are gathered within the fourteen tracks, twelve top-100 tunes with two, the Free Design's "Kites Are Fun" and Sagittarius' "Another Time" that didn't quite make it. While easily dismissed as fluff, many of these tunes are expertly crafted pop tunes, some of which are from artists whose reputation is perhaps better respected than these particular songs may be. The Turtles' "You Showed Me" stands out as one of the most intriguing. Sound quality is up to Varese's usual high standards with most tracks (6,7,9,11,12 excepting) in stereo. The liner notes provide brief but informative backround on the included tracks. If a drawback had to be mentioned here, it would the the relatively meager number of tracks for a reissue compilation, but that minor point aside, this is a welcome sampling of tunes that well represent the genre."
