CD ReviewsFirst-rate batch of pre-10cc pop singles B. Margolis | Minneapolis, MN United States | 08/23/2004 (5 out of 5 stars) "Anyone who loves the first 10cc album will enjoy this collection of 24 misc. tracks (mostly) recorded at Eric Stewart's Strawberry Studios in Stockport, England. Highlight tracks includes SILVER FLEET/Come On Plane, TRISTAR AIRBUS/Travellin' Man, FESTIVAL/Today, FESTIVAL/Warm Me, and DOCTOR FATHER/Umbopo...all of the above were produced and performed by Kevin Godley, Lol Creme, Eric Stewart and (on most tracks) Graham Gouldman. I'm very happy to have my copy....." Superb music, (maybe because) it's not really "bubblegum" collegemoney | 01/24/2006 (5 out of 5 stars) "The various members of 10CC always seem to provide enjoyable music in whatever guise or genre they tackle, and this is certainly the case here. The musical forms on the CD range from tropical to country to pop to "lite funk" (not much "bubblegum"), all handled capably. Shortly into the first track, I got up to read the titles to make sure I had been shipped the right CD. As always with such projects there is some "uneven-ness," but generally things here fit under a pretty tight band of professionalism."
