I know this is crazy late, but the Seize the Day song is by Smashtrax. Super helpful to know 13 years after the movie came out!

Good album, Great movie

""Step into Liquid" is an amazing movie, and the way the music is woven in with the visuals is just breathtaking. I must say I'm a little disappointed with the album, however. The reason I bought the album was for the music which is played during the hydrofoil shots in the movie, which I later found out was a song called "Candle" performed by VAST, and it's not included on the album... "Touched" is an awesome track, goes really well with the big wave surfing scenes. My favorite track is "Cinecitta" and pretty much all the original score tracks are sweet. I also really like the way the odd tracks are little commentaries by the great ones, it gets you stoked to go wax up your board and get wet, even if the waves aren't good... It's worth the few extra bucks to buy the DVD/CD combo pack they sell in surf shops."
Great stuff, minus one?

"Love this, but I'm a bit annoyed. I bought this album for ONE of the songs from the movie. (well, the rest of the songs are cool too, so I don't regret buying the album actually) but that ONE SONG is not on it. Hate that.
I'm looking for the "Carpe Diem" song- anybody know who did it or where I could find it?"
Sweet soundtrack

"I listen to this whenever I'm on my way to the surf (or when I need to but can't get there). The soundtrack is like having the movie with me in the car and on my computer at work. With the interspliced dialogue between tracks, I'm taken back to the movie, the people, the waves, the stoke. The only downside is that it makes me want to be out on the water rather than in my car or office.

"When i saw Step Into Liquid for the first time, the sequence in Costa Rica is what captivated me, and im not talking about the waves. Steve Stevens' 'Cincetta' is a gorgeous instrumental-very south american but romantic, relaxing, and captivating. The guitar talent in it is super, and it never gets boring. Thus, i was wildly excited when the soundtrack to the movie came out, and i bought it really for that one song. However, there are other great songs on it too, but this is my favorite one. im not usually a fan of instrumentals bc i find a lot of them to be rather monotonous, but this song changed my mind. Overall a good cd-there's commentary from surfers in the film between every song-some people might like that. Definitely feel like i got my money's worth."
I was amazed

"It is the first time that I bought a soundtrack with ALL musics that it is in the movie.
I am VERY happy with my purchase."
