CD ReviewsAbsolutely excellent! Buy this set. 11/18/1999 (5 out of 5 stars) "When I was little I had some of these stories on vinyl, and would listen to them over and over. I sold the records at a garage sale, and always regretted doing so. I didn't think I'd ever find these stories again, and was ecstatic to find them here on Amazon now that I have my own baby on the way.The sound quality is great (not like many recordings of old radio plays), as is the acting, music, and sound effects.I most highly recommend this for children and adults alike." I too listened to them as a child on my small, yellow, plastic record player and sold them at a garage sale. My only complaint is that I wish more of the stories were available now. My favorites were not necessarily the common fairy tales offered here ("Hansel and Gretel," "Cinderella"), but the lesser known stoires like "Why the Sea is Salt" and "The Three Golden Hairs." I'm hoping that in the future these will be made availalbe as well."
