Dancing at the Disco at the End of the World!

"This is a perfect companion piece to Dimitri from Paris' "A Night at the Playboy Mansion." The Sakura Hills Disco 3000 compilation is a grande foray into millenial dance music, bridging not just 70's grooves but actual *melodies* with current house and hip-hop beats. The selections on this album are as various as the colorful cartoon animals that adorn the cover, but without ever losing the common thread that makes a good dance mix. Most of the tracks and remixes are rare and exclusive to outside-America as well. Highlights include Fantastic Plastic Machine "Petitions," Towa Tei "Happy 2000," King Britt presents Scuba featuring Kathy Sledge "Ready," DJ Spinna "Always in Heaven When I'm With You," Masters at Work with Stephanie Mills "Latin Lover," and a 1999 Phats and Smalls remix of Earth Wind & Fire's eternal classic, "September." This album captures a sophisticated attitude that's been missing from dance music lately, and it's just damn fun. Shell out the money and buy it already!"
