"A wonderfull compelation of early commercail hip hop/groundbreaking anthems and underground classics. Rockit is a review of the late 70's/ early 80's hip hop phenominon. Kicking off with a full 14.31 mins of "Rappers delight" from the awsome Sugar hill gang, through Kustis Blows "The Breaks" into a 6 track mixup from Grandmaster flash, and thats just for starters. On CD 2( yes that was only a sample of CD 1) we kick off with Herbie Hancocks "Rockit" through West street mobs anthem "Break dancin' electic boogie". We travel from this through more cult classics by RUN DMC, LL Cool J and T La Rock & Jazzy J.Rapping up with "Its a new style" by the Beastie Boys. A fine package, well thought out and assembled, if a little hard to locate. It took me 3 months to find this on import in the UK. Well worth the wait. An absolute must for all you budding old school freaks. Good on ya Columbia........JEZ xx"
